After a couple of steps he appeared to have stepped outside the plank and fell over striking the girders of the whart with a terrific crash before reachlag the water. He was at once pleked up and was found to be unconscions. Dr. O'Flaherty, the Government Health Officer, was summoned but the unfor- tanata gentleman never rallied and be died shortly after midnight, death being pronounced due to a fracture of this skall.
