If he did not got the money prisoner said certain persons would manufacture bogus promissory notes of his, and false charges would be made against him, he prisoner going as a witness te press against him. The police took the numbers of the notes beforehand and on the prisoner's arrest he was taken to the Central Police Station. Mr. Robinson then' cross-examined tho witness at some length.
