THE NAVY U2, THE GARRISON.
This match (Rugby) was played on the Club ground at Happy Valley yesterday afternoon, before a large crowd of spectators, including several ladies. The teams were as follows Navy.---Humphrey, James, Skilton, Roskruge, Sleel, Dammers, Blunt, Shipway, Maldlow, Bon Bam-Carter, Middleton, Corner, Gascoyne, and Bannelt, Garrison-Howard, Carey, Wood, Isacks, Tow, Gordon, Logan, Burke, Stewart, Davies, Grayson, Creagh, Bazzard, Cruikshank, and Loveband.
The play was remarkably loved all through, the Garrison having a slight advantage in weight, which was, however, counterbalanced | by the excellent play of the Navy. The Garrison scored three letes, while the Navy galaed ons try and goal, the Garisan beating them by one point, scores standing at the falsh-Garrison nine points, Navy eight.

The game was moderately fast, but from the very beginning was all in favour of the Club, the Schools evidently having reckoned without their host when they challenged such a strong team. The Club steadily plied on the score till they reached a total of seven goals, when Just before time was called, the Schools managed to score their Erst and only goal leaving the victory in the hands of the Club by seven goals
to one.

LONDON, October agid. A representative of The Globe called to-day at the house of Dr. James Canille, Dean of the College of Medicine for Chinese, who is the blend of Sun Yat Seu, referred to in the accounts of the kidnapping case which have been published. Dr. Canille had drawn up a full statement of the affair, of which the following is the substanca -
