TEE OVERCROWDING NUISANCE. The Secretary submitted a copy of a letter which he had addressed in the Colonial Secretary In forwarding the draft of a form which the Board proposed to use in giving notification of overcrowded dwellings.
Mr. Ede, in a minute, thought that a more staple and quieter procedure than that laid down by the Acting Attorney-General, who made some suggestions, should be adopted.
The Medical Officer of Health wrote deploring that the Board could not deal with evercrowding
Kulrance to the same way as was done at home under the Public Health Act of 1875. He. suggested that a more expeditious method of dealing with a nuisance be adopted.
Decided to drop the subject for the present. THE MORTALITY RETURNS.
