On Saturday night the members of this very popular club gave a smoking concert in these
gymnasium as fitting method whereby the members could wish their popular and energetic retiring Hon. Secretary, Mr. E. D. Sanders, who goes home on a well-earned leave thir week, an appropriate farewell. The room was crowded when Captain Hastings took the chair. shortly after 9 o'clock, at which hour the Band of H.M.S. Centurion opened the proceedings with a selection of favomite air. Then followed a programms of mutual excellence, Dr. Meadows, Mt. Bridger, and Mr. Mirow singing in their best style, while Messrs. Bently and C. T. Robinson created great fun with their comic songs. The programme also included a banjo and mandolin sole, a zither salo by Mr. Mirow, and. three selections by the Band.
