Both the Field and the Love Stock Yournal have Icently been dicussing the question as to how far the colour of a horse is an index of Its quality, the former dealing with the matter as concerning the thoroughbred and the latter In connection with the hackney. Each Journal gives a mass of information of an interesting character, but neither seems able to supply very defintie auswer.
