(IX YEARS OF AGE).
Several official changes take place from this data. Mr. E. P. Gueritz Continues in the oppolat. THE THIRD GYMKHANA MEETING: thinking perhaps they would not see me. The ments of Sessions Judge and Editor of the Herold, held by the late Captain Beeston, Mr. J. W. Wilson becomes Auditor, Mr. W. H. Penney, Postmaster General, Mr. E. C. Trotter, Accountant, Mr. E. H. Barrant takes charge of Native Affairs.
The permanent alle for the public clack has now been selected, and approved of by H. E, the Governor. It is to be placed on the Barn. Hi, on the side freing the Wharf and town and on a level with the Tennis Ground, Levelling was commenced last month and a contract has been made for the erection of a te wer of billen.
From the Sarawak Gonette for june 1st we notice it is the intention of the Chinese in Kuching to build a pauper hospital for the secaption of the decrepit poor, and H. H. the Rajah has capased his readiness to ruslat. A good idea that might be adopted in Sandakan.
Narth Borneo exported raw camphor to the value of $33,656 In 1893 and $23,355 in 1894. Perhaps some correspondent will favour us with paritculars of the Formosa camphor and whether it comes from the same species of the tree as Borneo Campher.
