DARING PIRACY NEAR HONGKONG.
Another daring pliacy on the bigh seas was successfully carried out near Fah-tau-chow (y-ce-mun Fasa) last Saturday night. A Chinaman, who arrived here yesterday morning via Chinese Kowinon, furnished a Telegraph reporter with the following version of the affair ;-” I was a partenger on board a SwatoW trading juak which left Swatew on the 1st inst., with a general cargo, and about '20' passengers, tecluding several wealthy Chinese. We were within three miles of Fab-tau-chow,

Ultimately they looted the junk, secured some cargo, ransacked the passengers baggage, and made away with $5,000-$3000 money and $2000 worth of cargo. Once clear away the pratical craft wax steered for the open`s08, and her destination is, of course, unknown. Tha marauders may be la Hongkong, for more un- ilkely things than this have happened before now. The crew of the junk, after the pirates - had made good their escape, sat to work to patch up the sille and fix the balyards, and then managed to reach the mainland and land the passengers, some of whom came to Hongkang by way of Chinese Kowloon. Most of the passengers intended going to Canton after the
