In presenting their first report to the members of the Sporting League, the Provisional Executive Council with in the first place to call attention to the objects of the League, as set forth in the supplement in the Sportiman of the 3rd November. This document runs as follows :---
"The Sporting League has been formed to resist the encroachments of the various bodies who occupy themselves in interfering with the sports and recreations of the people. In this view its main endeavour will be :---
