The British steamship Machew reposts that she left Bangkok on the 26th ultimo, and Koh sl-chang en 1 the agth, and bad fine weather and Night Dorth-east to south-west winds to Puló Paalang; thence to Palo Condor had ralay weather and 'fresh northerly windy then to Paracels experienced strong north-east monsoon with high head wes, ship inbouring heavily and shipping large quantities of water.
