NOTICE has been received from Hi Excellency the V.CEROY that TORPE DOES have been LAID in the CANTON RIVER, and that the Buoys marking these will be REMOVED in a day or two.
In-coming Vessels will be required TO STOP CHUEN PEE and out-going Vessels at the COLLINSON REACH BRIDGE or WHAM. POA for EXAMINATAON by Mon-of-war Stationed at these places and also to obtain PILOTS

Pilots are acquainted, with torpedo pesi- tions and are provided with CERTIFICATES, but if in spite of the presence of the Pilet on board any accident should happen to a Vessel, the Government of China WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE.
