BUSINESS
The number of persons visiting the Hotel bes been much the same as during the same half. year of 1891. During the coming cool season the Hotel ought to exin by the late removal of part of the opposition it has had to contend with. Attempts have been made to sitract real dents by quofing very reduced monthly rates for some of the room dining the slack season, but, so far, the Directors regret to say, with not much access.

Since the beginning of the year all the shares of the New Tssue on which calls were then dos have been fully pild up or forfelted.
With regard to those shareholders who have bean qolla unable to pay the calls in full, the Company's claim has in most cases been com. promised and the shares forfelted.
