Seligman, bankers af New York and London, died to the Hotel del Coronado at 9 o'clock this morning, from pneu- monia and Bright's disease. He came to Coronado four days ago, direct from New York, with his wife and daughter. His condition had become so serious on his arrival that all the members of his family were telegraphed for, but he died before their arrival.

May gib, 1894. We have had a tragedy in a village called Kudin, about thirty miles north of this place. occurred in the house of an old man reputed to be rich. On Monday, the 30th of April, at mid- night, a band of robbers, armed with guns. icvided the little village and astailed the old man house. They are said to have been about fifteen in number, They barst open the doors of the old man's bense, and with torches ransacked the place, ficlog their guns to terrify the neighbour hood. The old man escaped by climbing to the tool. His nephew ran out to see what was the matter, and was shot by the robbers, He died the next morning. According to him, Hall was p:id to get knocked out and Charlle Michell, who was "on" to the scheme, made a pot of gold out of it, while Mitchell's friend, Squire Ablegten, was done up. This is how Hopkins tells it: Abington first gave Mitchell $20,000 Hall and instead of backing Hall, to place Mitchell placed it on Fiziimmons. This was
