At the Magistracy today, before Mr. H. E. Wedchouse, Ning Kai was charged with concealing a case of “bubonic plague” on his premises at No. 72 Market Street. Inspector Quincey stated that all the inhabitants of that quarter had been smply wamed to notify the authorities of any such case, but on the morning of the rath lgst, be discovered a man very plainly suffering from the disease, and had him removed to the Hygeia, Defendant was fired 82 or 14 days. A similar case in the next house, No. 74, was also removed, but the proprietor was not fined as the disenge was then less evident. Lai Yau Chung, a student living at ro, Wal Tak Lane, was fined $5 for concealment of a care of plague.
