THE Englaes of the Chop-chaung were Constructed by Mess. INGLES & Co., of Wanchai, and are of the Compound Inverted Cylinder Direct-Acting Surface Condensing type, Cylinders zol and 38" dia, with a stroke of 26." The Crank Shaft is 61" dia. at the Crank pir dia. at the journals. The H.P. Piston Rod is 3 and the IP. 34" dia. The Piston and Connecting Rod bolts sie 2" dia. Air Pump 141" dia. by 13 stroke, Single Acting Circulating Pump 8" dia, by 13" stroke, and Double Acting Feed and Bilge Furap (one each) 3′′ dia, by 13" stroke.

These Engines have been very little used and are in thoroughly good order.
The Boller is of the Horizontal Multilabular type, with three Fumaces and vertical Dome on top. Its dia, is roít, 3” by gf, 10" long, external measurements; Fornaces, aft. 7" dia.: Doms, 44" dia, by 4ft high; Tubes, 184 in number by 3" ex. dia. It is in fairly good condition, having recently undergone considerable repairs, and - would inst in active service for over five years,
