Tenderers must, in the act of delivering their tenders, produce a receipt to the effect that they have deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $500, as a pledge of the bond fides of their offer, which sum shall be returned to the tenderers who have not incceeded, as soon the Anction is over, Should the successful tenderer-refuse to sign the Contract or fail to maka pa immediately the amount of one third of the Abadal price fór which the adjudication is made to Mm, the sum he has deposited abali be forfeited to the Fazenda.
