The London Lyric Company went to Canton last Friday, and returned on Sunday, giving their farewell performance in Hongkong last night and leaving to-day for Shanghai. We now have to wait until the end of June before seeing them agala.
The Canton expedition was a memorable experience, or rather a crowded collection of princes, culminating in Toole's favourite maxi"Don't." A few of the leading point May be briefly noted, without going too much into details of a private nature:-
