An extraordinary accident occurred last night, reling is the death of a French anarchist named Hourdin.

Bourdin had been attending a mesilog of an anarchist club in London, but fearing arrest he burriedly left the hallding where the meating was held, taking an internal machine with him. He proceeded to Greenwich, and an approaching the Observatory there he stumbled and fell with the result that the machine exploded, killing him on the spot and fearfully mutilating the body, which on examination was found to have been disembowelled.

Inquires made by the police prova that Bourdin was the leader of a plot to destroy a number of important public buildings in London.

The police believe that Bourdin, who was killed by the explosion of an infernal machine, made an unsuccessful attempt to explode the machine against the Greenwich Observatory,

A large number of foreign anarchists are known to have recently arrived in London, and it is now reported that their leader, with letters of credit for £5,000, has left for Parle, with the view of renewing dynamite and other explosive outrages in that elty,

The German Government have entered into negotiations with the Governments of Great Britain and the ather Great Powers for united action against the anarchists.

The houses occupied by Bourdlo (the anarchist who was killed at Greenwich on Thursday by the accidentali explosion of an Infernal machlan he was carrying) and other persons known to be prominent in the anarchistic movement were also searched. As a result the police discovered and seized quantity of Infernal machines and flammatory literature, Indications of the faleations of the anarchists were given by a number of photographs of the leading pubile men to France and England and notable public buildings in those countries.

Papers found by the police at the Autonomic Club on Saturday clearly prove that the place was the centre of anarchism in Europe, and that the outages which have been perpetrated in France and England have been arranged there.

It has been ascertained that Bourdin was ranked as a "travelling brother," and had very large funds at his disposal. He was intimate with Le Bicton, alias Henry, the Paris anarchist, who is now in custody,
