WASHINGTON, October 14th, The debate on the McCreary: Chinese Bill was resumed after the morning bear had expired in the Hrose today. Hbt, of linols, a member of the Foreign Affairs Commliter, made one of his characteristic speeches. This gentlemen's utterances on the Chinese question have a sameness that is rather monotonous to these of his old-time associates who have listened to his sentimentalism many times before. Hitt's speech dealt largely with treaty rights, and he drew a sanguinary picture of the terrible consequences that would rerult to our missionaries in China by the saperstitious, fanatical, revengeful and ungovernable lower classes of Chinese society. Then, teo, he believed these would be a rupture between the Ubiled: States, and Chinese governments, boold the registration act be enforced without giving the Chinese another chance to register. Hit scored Geary for the latter gentleman's declaration, made yesterday, that he did not believe the charches should dictate or seek to loftaence Con- gress to its legislation.
