The British steamship Tantalus reports that the left Shanghai on the 8th Instant, Foochow on the 14th, and Amoy on the rik. From Shanghai to Foochow had strong westerly wind and very high confused sex with steady glass. From Foochow to Amoy bad moderate cast- south-east winds and foggy weather. Amoy to Hoogkeng had fine weather and variable winds. On the 16th about zo of the Lammocks, passed a quantity of wreckage and later a 6shing junk floating bottom up with a dead Chinaman on it.
