The new Cunard steamer Campania had her final trial trip to-day. She attained a maximum speed of 23.5 knots, or fully twenty-seven miles an hour. Ever since the terrible dynamite explosion of November 5th last, at the commissariat of the police, in the Rue des Boas Enfants, near the Paials Royal, the police have been searching for the perpetrators of the strage. To-day a man named Doprat and a woman named Desmaals were arrested on suspicion of having caused the explosion.

The cholera continues to claim victime in oriental towns, and elsewhere. In the Depart ment of Morbihan, it is stated that deaths from cholera in one district average five daily.
