If Europeans complain of Siamese refusing to pry their debts they are perfectly just fied, Even to this day there are accounts still owleg by the Siamens to Europeans for the east of entertaining the Cxarewitch. Want of money is not the cause. There is money in abundance, and probably the order has long ago been given to pay such debts. But there are some high officials who for months and years appropriate be cum due and lend it out at high interest Instead of paying the European tradere. GOLD DISCOVERIES NEAR MOUNT TACOMA.
ORE ASSAVINO $300 PIR TON!
A new mining district between Mount Tacoma and Mount Adamas is attracting the attention of prospectors in this section, The new district discovered some time ago but the men who first begin the search for gold and silver in that section kept their discovery to them■rives until recently. There are said to be some exceedingly rich finds, but as the reports cannot be actually. substantiated mining men are a little doubt-

That the new district is a good one and in all probability a rich one, is generally believed. A prospector stumbled in there early-in-the-year--Since-that-time-he-bas been joined by about a dez n men. The new comers spread over the country and a few days ago they also located a newid strict.
The °Cmpas district runs into the inot kills of Monat St. Helens. The second district is back of the Chanus and takes in the Green ilver, Gold, silver and copper ledges have been found in very promising abundance. John Overby, of Tacoma has been in the district since early lust | July. He went out as a prospector. "I have what I consider very good pin-pects," said Mr. Overby this morning to a News reporter: "Of course I can't say what my ores are until I hear from the assayer. They took fine. These has been ore taken out of the district that ran as high as $200 per ton. There was also ore that only ran $4 and $5 per ton, I am satisfied that the district will astonish the people,.
