The weather was perfect for the race meeting Saturday last, neither iain nor too much order, and considering the size of the place the number of competitors was large; but the squabbles that occurred greatly mareed the day's proceedings. Both on the race day and at the lotterler held two evenings before, things were either done or threatened which would hardly meeting in England.
An absurd contretemps occurred after the third race; there were four runners, Tory passed the post first, Black Prince second, and Dandy third, but Tory's rider f.ll off, and Dandy's owner entering an objection the Judge wa unable to give the order in which the animals came to.
