Hation, Inspector in the Registrar Gratrel's department, Chan A Ho was charged with un lawfully taking away from the Colony a girl named Si Kwai Fong, aged 19 years, with Intent to let her out for the purpose ai prostitu- on the rohinst,, at Victoria in this colony. William Horton, Inspector of Police attached stated that on the 10th inst, at about 4.30 p.m. he went on board the steamship Bormida. Amongst the passengers be found defendant and a young girl. The girl showed her passange ticket and photograph. She said that defendant had bought her for $320 ten days before at Canton, and brought her down fire days before to the Colony, and that he was going to take her to Singapore to be a prostlinta.
