The affairs of the Slam Electric Light Co. are at length to be satisfactorily settled. £20,000 has been advanced by the Treasury, out of which the creditors are to be paid. The Brush Co, on receipt of the first instalment awarded by the recent coast of arbitration, will send out a staff of men to put the machinery in order, after doing which they will receive the balance of the sum due to them. The concern will then either be put up to auction, or taken over by the Government by private arrangement with the Company.
