The Monijara was built in Singapore, and fa most solidly constructed of teak throughout, with Iron-wpod francs. She has recently been thoroughly overhauled under experienced European superintendence, fastened throughout with galvanized spikes, and newly re-coppered Draft of water about 7 feet.

AS THEY LIE AT ABERDEEN DOCKS,

The Engines of the Chop-chrung · were constructed by Messrs. InciLis & Co., of Wanchai, and are of the Compound Inverted Cylinder Direct-Acting Surface Condensing type cylinders 20) and 38" dia, with a strokes of 26.7 The Crank Shaft li 64" dia. at the Cranic pin and. 7" dia, at the journals. The H.P:Piston Rod is 3" and the L. P. 31" dia. The Piston and Con necting Rod bolts are a dia, Alt. Pump 14" dia, by 12 stroke, Single Acting Circulating Pump 8" diz.-by 13" stroke, and Double Acting Feed and Bilge Pump (one each) 3o dia by 13" stroke.

There Engines have been very little used and are in thoroughly good order.

The Boller is of the Horhontal Multitubuler type, with three Furnaces and vertici Dome of top. Its dia. is soft, a" br.gft. zo" long, external measurements Furnaces, zit. 7 diz Doms, | 44" dia. by qit, high; Tubes, 143 in number by 3′′ ex, dia.. It is in fairly good condition, having recently undergone considerable repairs, and would last in activa service for over five years,
