I beg to inform you that these men, whom your second officer handed over to me, took the steamer Fung..Kong yesterday, ten for Amoy and one for Swatow, I am sure they will deeply be indebted for your kind assistance in bringing them to life again.

The respondent in the suit for judicial separa- tion, Earl Russell, to-day gave evidence in rebuttal of the charges of the Countess Russell.
