The following is the report to be presented to the shareholders at the sixth ordloury yearly meeting, to be held at the office of the Compny, No, 9. Queen's Road, on Thursday, the 15th

October, 1891, at noon?—

The Directors beg to submit the, accounts for the half-year ending 31st March, 1891, from which it will be seen that, the expenditure on working account was $10,91 1.65,. At date of the above report the Penjam Pabang Gold Company (Limited) was indebied to us to the extent of

836.483.11.

The Chairman of your Board visited Pabang in August, and his report, which is annexed gives in detail the various, works and operations of the Company,

Mr. Blamey has shown great skill in exploiting the Gubat deposits, and bis reports have been concise and practical, and have been followed no doubt with great interest by many of the

shareholders.

Ji

The Directors have taken steps to bring the Gubau field to the notics of capitalists, and with this object Mr. Hardie has been granted leave of abrence, and during his stay in Australia will endeavour to tell a portion of our concession,

Messrs. John Tayler & Sons, London, have also been interested in the concession, and will send their Pabang representailve to report on the Company's properly, with the view of the disposal of the property in London. :

It is with regret that the Directors have to report that the Panjom Pabang Gold Company of London has not been able to discharge the flebt due to this Company. However, work has been steadily carried on at Falls.

The last crushings st Jalle gave a yield of about y dwts out of an assay.value of about. I ounces this low result is due to the lack of suitable machinery, and the large reserve of keefing stuff fally warrants the construction of an entire new

The last report issued stated that it was proposed to give the London Company notice of our intention to resume possession at the end of period not exceeding six months. Your

I regret to say that I consider this battery by no means worthy of the mine; the forms ofdies and boxes are antiquated, rendering the use of quick-silver in the box difficult, and there are no concentrators nor grinding pans to beat the mineral with which the quartz in heavily charged.

Recent milling has shown that out of stone

The wash dirt, though apparently consisting of soft powdery clay, in places is mixed with quarts more or less abundant, and the dirt will be first roughly washed in tubs, and then the sand separated in delongs or native wood dishes. The recommendations made above seem to be the only ones which can he dealt with in the present state of the Company's finances, and cannot be expected to secure any immediate amount of success.
