Arthur Bernard Rodyk (alphabetical of that lik), son of a distinguished and successful lawyer in the Straits. He is said to follow the principle of the early bird catching the worm, but time alone can show whether his skill and methods will meet their, due reward. 'Mr. Rodyk was mixed-up professionally with the "Hongkong Marina" fiasco, and one or two other somewhat similar enterprises which still require explans on. His legal knowledge is said to be good, bis general experience doubtful. Toomuch public companies' sauce has doubtless impeded this gentleman's aspirations in purely legal affairs.

Ho Wyson, our only Chinese solicitor. lawyer, but handicapped in Court practice by Educated in England, a thoroughly well read bashful modesty and a deficiency in what is known as "gift of the gab."
