On Sundays the men-whose religion is broadly defined by their being Catholics or Protestants-go to church. It is held in the central tower, on the floor above the ball. The morning service is devoted to the Catholic portion, and is conducted by Fathers Vigano or Burghignoli as a rule. Chinese Catholic priests also visit any native converts to Christianlly that may have got inside, and preach to them both publicly and privately.
