THE HONKONG MARINA COMPANY,
This was a petition asking for a compulsory order of the Court to wind up the Company.
Mr. A. J. Leach, instructed by Messrs. Holmes and Rodyk, appeared for the Hongkong Trading Company, and two other creditors; Mr. G. J. philippe, instructed by Messrs. Dennys and Mossop, appeared, on behalf of Tam Trol, a creditor; and Mr. Pollock, instructed by Messrs. Caldwell and Willdason, appeared on behalf of the Hongkong Marías Company to oppose the application.
Mr. Leach-The notice of advertisement advises them to come to the Court and if they do
wish to oppose the petition,
Mr. Pollock-The ship is the only asset, besides the farmitare. On the 24th December an order was obtained detaining, the scillag of the ship..
His lordship-How would you better your position by asking for an adjournment ?
Mr. Follock-You have no evidence, your lordship, before you that the shareholders wish the Court to wind it up.

În ya CHEUNG PING RHING. This was a petition praying for the Court to adjudge Cheung Plog Sheng, trading as Kwong Ping Wong, to be made a bankrupt.
Mr. Wilkinson appeared for the bankrupt. The Registrar (Mr. E. J. Ackroyd) said the amount of the petliloner's debts were stated to be $9,000 and the assets consisted of a number of debts, of which there were no less than 197 socounts, said to be worth $15,000, but the greater portion of them were doubtial, and only ten were put down as good, which would ament to $500..
Mr. Wilkinson said his lordship would see the Reacts would a zount if good to $11,000, whereas the debt was only $9,000. He asked his lord ship to adjudge his cilent a bankrupt and give him the protection of the Court..
His lordship, finding that no notica had been sent to the principal creditor and that no state ment had been made showing the bankrupt's position, adjourned the case till Thursday.
