La Grippe has reached Shers, and during the past week many thousands people have suffered from it. It is said to be prevalent all over the province. The military magistrate at Fen-chou fu has died from it after a few days lness, Diptheria, too, has been unusually prevalent at Fen-chou, this fall. There have ⚫ been a large number of deaths from it. The people say that native doctors can do nothing to help them.
