SUPREME COURT.
IN APPELLATE JURISDICTION.
(Before the Full Court)
THE MARINE LOT QUESTION. In the case of the adjourned Application mode by Mr. Francis, Q.C. (instructed by Mr. Mossop) on behalf of the Hon, P. Ryrie, for an interim injunction to restrain the Government from. proceeding with the scheme authorised by the Praya Reclamation Ordinance of 1889, the decision of the Full Court was delivered this morning,
Sir James Russell said the Court bad considered the application very fully, and thought it ought to grant a rule sist as applied for, making it returnable on Wednesday the 12th instant, so that time might be given to the defendant (the Attorney-General) to file any affidavits he might deem necessary
Mr. Francis, QC., said their lordships would understand that the rule nisi was applied for to show cause why an interim injunction should not be issued, and that he had mentioned to the Court on a previous occasion why he had put in his application in that form, instead of insisting on an Interim injunction.
Sir James Russell-Yes, we understand, it is simply a rule, sisi to show cause why an interim injunction should ro: issus. We shall make it returnable on Wednesday at 10a.m.
The Court then adjourned.
THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Our report of yesterday's Council proceedings, in last night's issue, left the members discussing the question of official salaries. After some further debate the subject dropped.

LAST night two more natives, a "brave" and a junkman, succumbed to the fearful tojusies sustained on board the junk in which the terrific explosion, reported in last night's issue, occurred while she was being searched by Customs' officers near Capsul-mun, fast Saturday night. The explosion, it is said, was caused by a tin of nitro-glycerine falling into tub of powder which the captain of the funk was smuggling into Canton.
