The Montiara was built in Singapore, and is mest solidly constructed of teak throughout, with tron-wood frames. She has recently been thoroughly overhauled under experienced Euro- pean superintendence, fastened throughout with ' 7 inch galvanized spikes, and newly re-coppered. She is forcha rigged with, the best canvas sails Draft of water 7 feet.
