Perin was passed at 5 p.m. on the 28th, and the Mal dive Islands at 8 a.m, on the 5th instant. The weather still continuing fine with light winds, chiefly from castward. Penang was reached at daybreak of the 12th, and left at gp.m. the following day. Occasional showers were met with in the Straits of Malacca, but on the whole the weather was fine; arrived in Singapore at 5 p.m. on the 15th, and left again at 4 p.m., on Saturday, the 19th.
