The British steamship Propontia reports that The Indo-China S. N. Co's, steainer Wingabe left Kutchinatru on the 8th instant at 4 p.m. rang, from Calcutta, left Singapore on the roth Crossing the Eastern Sea had strong south-east instant, and is due here on the 16th,

(winds and overcast sky with 'heavy beam sea, accompanied with heavy squalls of wind and The Canadian Facific steamer Batavia, with rain daring the first part; the latter part had moderate north-east winds and overcast sky with the Canadian mail, from Vancouver, left Yoko-light rain at intervals. Passed Turnabout Island City of Rio de Janeiro. hama on the 11th instant for Kobe, Nagasaki on the 11th at 3 p.m. Throughout the Formosa and Hongkong.

Channel had-moderate north-east winds and thick hazy weather. From Chelang Point to arrival had strong northerly wind and thick hasy Ham-weather, accompanied by thunder and light- 7thing with heavy rain. On the gth instant, passed the steamship, Dorset, from Hongkong to Kat. chinotrs, & days out, in lat. 31.10 north and long. 128 cast.
