The British steamship Strathleven reports that she left Saigon on the 27th allimo. The first part of the passage had fine clear weather; the latter part 'had strong north to north-east winds..
The British steamship Canton reports that she left Shanghai on the 28th ultimo, and Swatow on the 3rd instant. From Shanghai to Swatow had strong northerly winds and cloudy weather, From Swatow to Single Island had moderate breeze and cloudy weather.
