BORNEO AND ITS PROSPECTS.
A London special to the Journal says. The Hugbes-Hallett scandal is revived by the return of the ex-member of Parliament to London, where his relations with his wife (nde Von Schonberg of Philadelphia) are to settle. She is willing to give him an allowance in return for a covenant of non-molestation and his consent to ker taking the name of Mrs. Von Schonberg.
She will not sue either for a limited or a full divorce. English society accepts what is found cut, but it ostracizes the one by whom it is found out, and he is adjudged quite as guilty as the implicated persons.
It was in token of this social creed that the young Prince of Wales took his celebrated oath of compurgation in a celebrated divorce case years ago when he was a co-respondent. Mrs. Von Schonberg proposes not to return to the United States,
