Of this, it is stated that there is not the least fear, and the bold sportsmen will lose their bets. We are told that there is an impression among the shareholders that a mistake was m'de in sending Mr. Rice on to take part in the negotiations then proceeding for the acquisition of the Raub property. As to the "docking of the shares, it will be remembered that originally 9 per cent, of the syndicate shares were to be deducted to allow spective allotments to Messrs. Rice and Bibby for services. We learn on the authority of the correspondent that it has now been decided to limit the proportion to be given to Mr. Rice to 10,00 shares, in place of the maximum of 25,000 snares previously mentioned. This will have the effect of reducing the deduction to 6 per cent. instead of, as before, 9 per cent. Again, there appears to be no ground for the belief that the docking is to apply to other than the original holders, although the remarks on this point are not so clear as they might be. The course now proposed in to register the syndicate at once, and proceed with the formation of the company later on.
