The Canadian Pacific steamer Port Fairy, with the Canadian mails, left-Vancouver for Japan, and Hongkong on the afternoon of the 16th Instant.

THE INDIAN MAIL.

The Indo-China S. N. Co.'s chartered steamer- Moray, from Calcutta, left Singapore on the 19th “inst., and is expected here on the asth.

The British steamship Parthia reports that: she left Vancouver at 4 p.m. on the 18th ultimo, “ Had moderate winds and fine weather to Yoko- bama; arrived there on the 12th instant at 3 p.m. Left Yokohama on the 13th at 7.15 am.; arrived at Nagasaki at p.m. on the 15th, and left on the 16th at 6 p.m.; arrived at Woosung on the 18th at 3 p.m., left at 3 p.m. on the 19th. Had strong monsoon and showery weather to Hong- kong; arrived here at 3.15 p.m. on the aznd.

AFTER the Policy has been three years in force should the Polley-holder wish to discontinue future payments-he will be entitled to receive on application a Free Paid-up Policy for proportionate amount of the Sum Assured. For instance a man who had assured at 45, after five year's payments would be entitled to a Paid- up Policy for £500 free of future payments as explained in Prospectus.

Nots-It is an advantage to effect Provisions of this nature early in life. By delay the rate of subscription increases; Death may occur before the Provision is effected, or Health may fall and render the life ineligible for Assurance.
