The British steamship Glenroy reports that she left London on the 29th May, and Singapore on the 7th instant. Had moderate monsoon and Ene weather.
The British steamship Tannadice reports that she left Sydney at 5 p.m. on the 25th ultimo for Hongkong pasaed Cape Mereton at 10 m, on the 27th, Townsville was passed at 10.30 pm, on the 29th, and Cooktown on the 30th at 9 p.m.; passed and signalled Good Island, Torres Straits at 4.30 p.m. on the 2nd instant; passed through the Basilan Channel at 3 to 4'.m. on the gib, Cabra Island (Philippines) was passed at ' p.m. on the roth, and a course shaped across the China Sea; passed Tamkan at 8.30a.m. on the 13th; arrived here this morning at 10.30 am. On leaving Sydney experienced strong southerly winds with a'very high sea, which was carried as far as Cape Moreton; thence light south-west winds to off Cooktown, and light south-east, winds through Torres Straits, and fresh to strong with considerable sca across the Arafura and Banka Sens; thence light variable winds, mostly south-west and west with heavy, showers at times to leaving the Philippines; thence to Hongkong had fresh west and west-south-west winds and dirty squally weather the first part of the voyage. The latter part had light variable winds and fine weather. On the and instant in Torres Straits, passed the steamship Changsha, bound south.
