TO-DAY.

The Share Market.

5- o'clock,

There is very little to report to-day, business having been confined to only two or three stocks. A few transactions were arranged this morning in China Sugars at 260 for August, and there are cash buyers at 252. The Tonquin Coal Co.'s shares have changed handsat 750, and are in strong demand. There was a rush this forenoon on Land Investments a considerable business being put through at 103 and 134 for cash, 135 for the end of the month, and 140 for August. Late in the afternoon, however, some shares were thrown on the market and the rate fell to 132 for cash and 133 for the 30th inst., the stock closing firm, with buyers at these rates. Nothing else requires special reference.
