The P. & O. S. N. Co.'s steamer Ganges, with

the next English mail, left Singapore at 6. on the 14th instant, and is expected here on or about the 19th.

THE CANADIAN MAIL.'

The Canadian Pacific S. S. Co.'s steamer Abyssinia, with the Canadian mail, from Van couver on the 19th ultimo, left Yokohama on the 7th instant for Nagasaki, Shanghai and Hong- kong.

The British steamship Oanja reports that she left Kobe on the 9th instant. On the oth and roth had fresh north-west winds and heavy sea. On the rth, 12th, 13th and 14th had strong monsoon and thick weather.

The British steamship Thales reports that she left Taiwanfon on the 11th instant, Amoy on the rath, and Swatow on the 14th. From Taiwanfoo to Amor had moderate north-north-east breeze with smooth sea and overcast sky. From Amoy to Swatow had fresh north-east breeze and heavy sea. In Amoy, the steamship Chiangchew. In Swatow, the steamship Kaffong.
