THE sun of the Police Court has risen again, after a three months' eclipse. James Kelly, mariner, is the Individual. He took his old place in the dock this morning in a shirt and pants, to show cause why he assaulted Robert Fisher last night and made him lose his gold watch and chain, the spalpeen. Fisher, who is the runner to the Sailors', Home, said that when going along Queen's Road West in a ricksba. Kelly, with several soldiers, came from near the Grand Hotel and pulled him into the road "and began using both hands and feet" on him, During the struggle Fisher missed his watch. Kelly was pulled off by a bystander, but got away by peeling his jacket. The case was remanded until Monday next.
