LISBON papers record the arrival of a Chinese mission composed of several members attached to the Peking Board of Treasury who are on a visit to the European capitals in search of information concerning the various systems of Exchequer in vogue. After visiting England, France and Germany, they repaired to Lisbon where they were received by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senhor da Roza, ex-Governor of Macas, being present at the interview. It is said that the outcome of this informal meeting. is that China will send an ambassador to Lisbon, and that the Portuguese Minister to the Court of Peking-the present Governor of Macao-will shortly proceed to the capital and present his credentials. We hope that much good may. result from these diplomatic ceremonials, as everything else in the neighbouring colony points to a speedy dissolation.
