THE SHARE MARKET.

5 o'clock. Banks have been a trifle weaker to-day, offers to sell at 168 per cent. premium" In Canton meeting with no response. Insurances, business has been put through at from 105 to 110, and the stock is firm at the latter figure. Some sales of China Fires have been made at 194, but additional shares are on offer,

Panjoms have been placed at 9h for cash and also át 10 and 10 for June, closing firm. The Wharf Co.'s shares have dropped from go to 87 per cent. premium. but no actual business lias, been reported. The sensational "boom" in the Steam Launch Co.'s scrip continues and has caused a good deal of curiosity and discussion. Shares are reported to have changed hands at from 65 to 75 per cent, premium, but we have been unable to verify these reports and merely give them for whatever they may be worth. Other quotations are unchanged.
