The British steamship Cyclops reports that she left Glasgow, of Liverpool, and Singapore. on the 4th instant at 5 p.m. Had fine weather throughout,

The British steamship Thales reports that she left Tejwanfoo on the 5th instant, Tamsui on the 6th, Amoy on the 9th, and Swatow on the 10th. From Taiwanfoo to Tansui had moderate to fresh north-north-east winds and fine clear weg- ther. From Tamaul to Amoy had moderato north-east winda and clear weather. From Amoy to Swatow had light airs and overcast sky with rain at intervals. From Swatow to port had moderate.winds and smooth sea with clear weather.

The German steamship Falkenburg reports that she left Saigon on the 24th plumo; wind Dortherly, and sky cloudy. Fair weather till the 27th, when barometer fell and wind increased.

On the 28th it increased to a gale, and evidently a typhoon had been met. At six o'clock the steering gear brake, and soon afterwards the patent rudder was by the heavy seas breaking aft. The weather got worse next day, the sea being very high and boats amidships were carried away, and confused and a fog spreading. The two port third broken, and the sails were blown away. Most the small deck gear was smashed. On the evening of the 29th Captain Dreyer died; and two of the Chinese passengers. The after batch and peak were broken by waves, and filled the wind changed to the southward and the rea with water, and the cargo sbifted. Suddenly broke with increased force over the vessel. The screw became damaged, and some plaies gave way, The hurricane abated next day, and after drifting about till the 3rd. Touron was reached. The Carisbrooke was requested to tow us to

·Hongkong, which she did.
