There is very little to report to-day, the ki.......... absence from the Rialto of a large number of operators, who are engaged in the Jewish New Year festivities, › making business unusually quiet. A few Docks have been done at 34. and this stock is very firm. Sales of China and Manilas have been arranged at 115 and 116, and further shares are wanted atthe latter figüro. Luzons have been placed at 68 for cash and "also at 6g for October and 7 for the end of the year. There are further buyers. on the terms last quoted. Transfers of the Tonquin Mining Co.'s scrip at 60 per cent, premium have been arranged and additional shares are asked for at thatrate.. Cruickshank & Co.'s shares are reported to have changed hands at 20 per cent. premium. Nothing else has come under our observation.

The Chinese steamship Shin Shang reports that she left Haiphong on the 5th instant. Had fine clear weather and light "north-east winds with rain,

reports that she left San Francisco on the 11th The American mail steamship City of Peking ultimo, and Yokohama on the 1st instant. Had fine weather up to Turnabout; thence to port easterly winds.

The German steamship Telarios reports that she left Newcastle, N.S.W., on the 18th ultimo, During the voyage to China Sea had fine weather with light easterly winds; from there to port had variable wind and fine weather. On the 4th instant, passed a, bark, showing T.Q.M.C., in lat. 13.42 north and long, 119.30 cast.
