Share business continues active, and a general "boom" would appear to have set in. The sensation to-day has been in the stock of the China and Manila Nagashi Steamship Co., in which large numbers of shares are stated to have been taken up at all sorts of rates, the latest business. reported being at 125 for the end of Manlle December. Banks have been done at 153 --for cash-and-161-for-Decembor, No sales- of Docks have come under our observation, but the stock is in very strong demand, at 33 per cent. premium. China Sugars, after a slight depression yesterday, are again on the "boom." Transfers to a considerable extent have been arranged at 186 for cash and the end of the month, and also at 189 and 190 for delivery on December 31st Luzons, after having been bought at 70, dropped to 69 and are weak at that figure, a large number of cash shares having been, placed on the market. There were some orders to buy this morning at 74 for December, but we did not hear whether any transactions had been arranged on these terms. Punjoms have again been placed at 124 for cash and 14 for December, closing weak at the cash rate. On the strength of a favorable report from head-quarters the Tonquin Coal Mining Co.'s stock has been taken up at 33 and 40 per cent. premium, and is now in strong request. Some small sates of the East Borneo Planting Co.'s scrip at $50 per share have been reported, and at that price there are further buyers. Other quotations speak for themselves.
