'THE SHARE MARKET.
S o'clock. To-day's share business can be reported in a very few words. Some China Traders', Insurance shares have changed hands at 73) and there are further buyers at that price.
Banks, Docks, and Steamboats have all had a blank day, not a single transaction worth chronicling having been' reported in either stock. Steamboats were wanted at 216 early in the forenoon, but during the afternoon there were sellers at that rate, although at a point lower shares could have been placed. China and Manila scrip has dropped to rio, and is weak at that reduced quotation. A few transactions in Indo-Chinas have been reported at wo per cent. discount, and there are additional shares on offer. In China Sugars business is said to have been put through at 177, ex. div., for the end of the year,
